Valentine cupcakes for kids

Everyone loves cupcakes, especially kids! They love making them, decorating them, and eating them, so today we have a simple and fun way to decorate Valentine cupcakes for kids.

And, this idea can work for any occasion. Our example shows you what to use for Valentine’s Day, but you can choose frosting, candies, and other toppings to match any holiday or theme.

An Easy Way to Decorate Valentine Cupcakes for Kids

Start by making your own cupcakes from scratch, or use a boxed mix. (To make things really simple, buy frosted cupcakes from the store.)

Next, set up each child with their own โ€œdecoration stationโ€ using these small artist palettes (below). Theyโ€™re just the right size to hold a cupcake and decorations. You can find them online at Amazon or Michaelโ€™s or in your local craft store.

Then start decorating! Each child can decorate their cupcake exactly the way they’d like.

This is a terrific birthday or holiday party activity too. It might be fun to have each child decorate two cupcakes, one to eat at the party and one to take home!
