Looking for a fun snack idea for Thanksgiving? We’ve got you covered! Make these pumpkin pie cheese and crackers appetizers.
Not only are these little snacks cute and easy to make, but they’re a terrific way to get the kids involved in preparing for the holiday.
And, if you’re making a Thanksgiving charcuterie board, these would be the perfect addition.
Let’s get started on the simple how-to!
Pumpkin Pie Cheese and Crackers
You only need a few simple ingredients to make our adorable “pumpkin pie” slices.
Triangle-shaped crackers make the pie shape. Try these Triscuits or these pita crackers.
Using your triangle-shaped crackers as a template, cut cheddar cheese into triangles.
Cream cheese will be our “glue” to stick the cheese onto the crackers, making our slice of “pie.”
A pretzel stick will be the “crust.” Again, use a little cream cheese to make it stick.
Finally, add dot of cream cheese to the top of the cheese wedge to create the look of whipped cream. (We made our own piping bag with a baggie to pipe on the cream cheese.)
Kids will love to help make these tasty Thanksgiving snacks, and it’s a great way to keep them occupied while they wait for dinner too.
You’ll want to make these savory little treats just before serving, if possible. If they sit out or are refrigerated for long, the cheese will harden, and they just won’t taste as good.
