snowman pretzel jars

Winter is almost here, which means it’s the perfect time to indulge in festive decor and treats! These snowman pretzel jars combine bothโ€”a cute, crafty display and a delicious snack.

This easy, family-friendly project is great for a chilly day, and the kids will love helping (just keep the hot glue for adults). White chocolate-covered pretzels peek through each jar, creating a snowman look with just a few added details.

Make a few to keep at home or give as holiday gifts to grandparents, neighbors, and friends. Plus, they’re adorable as party favors or for adding festive charm throughout the house!

About This Snowman Pretzel Jars Craft

For this craft, I used two jars. Of course, these are just examples, and you can decorate yours however you’d like and make as many or as few as you’d like.

They make adorable party favors, and you can leave little clusters of snowmen in different parts of your house.

You can even create some variety with other snacks that can represent snow, like white cheddar popcorn, white m&ms, and any other kind of white chocolate or yogurt-covered snacks, like nuts or raisins.

Here the easy guide to crafting these adorable snowman pretzel jars.

Snowman Pretzel Jars

Supplies:

  • White Yogurt-Covered Pretzels or White m&ms
  • 2 Mason Jars (any size) or use empty glass jars you’ve washed, like pickle jars, spaghetti sauce jars, etc.
  • Blue Felt
  • Red Ric Rac or Ribbon
  • Blue Pipe Cleaner
  • 2 White Pom Poms
  • 7 Buttons (any colors)
  • 1-2 Cotton Balls
  • Black Construction Paper
  • Glue Gun

Directions:

1. Glue three buttons on each jar.

2. Cut the red ric rac or ribbon and blue felt to go around the jar lids as scarves. Make sure to leave extra so the scarf can hang down. Glue each piece onto the sides of the jar lids.

3. Cut out one large circle out of the black paper to fit one of the lids, a rectangle to create the hat’s sides, and a smaller circle for the top of the hat. Glue the larger circle to the lid. Roll the rectangle into a cylinder, and glue together. Then glue that to the large circle. Lastly, glue the smaller circle on the top of the cylinder.

4. Glue some cotton on the hat to represent snow and a little button for decoration. On the other lid, glue a pipe cleaner to each side, then glue on the two white pom poms to represent earmuffs.

5. Fill the jars with the white chocolate covered pretzels. Then twist on the lids.

6. These are not only fun to make, but make nice little holiday treats for neighbors, family members, or for your children to give to their friends!
