Halloween Treat Bag Toppers (Free Printables)

If you’re having a Halloween party, need treats to send to school, or just want a fun activity to do with the kids at home, here’s an idea. These cute Halloween treat bag toppers are ready to print.

All you have to do is cut out the bats and jack-o-lanterns, fill up some little treat bags with candy or other goodies, and staple (or tape) on the Halloween treat bag printables.

These make the perfect party favors, or cute little gifts for your child’s friends, teachers, or classmates.

Halloween Treat Bag Toppers

List of Supplies:

1. Printed treat bag tags, note: printing on cardstock or heavyweight paper is preferable – Bat and Pumpkin (click links to print or see below)
2. Clear plastic baggies or cellophane bags
3. Scissors
4. X-acto knife ( super handy tool for all kinds of crafts)
5. Candy of your choice
6. Stapler or craft glue (but stapling is easier and less messy)
   

Instructions for making the treat bags:

Step 1: Print out the bat and the pumpkin tags by clicking on each below. Cardstock or a heavier weight paper will hold up better than lightweight paper. (You’ll see that there are four colors of each one when you click to print.) Use scissors to cut out the tags by cutting along the border of the main pattern. Use an x-acto knife to cut open the top part of the ears of the bat; do the same for the pumpkin stem.

Step 2: Fold the tag in half, keeping the ears popped up with the front side of the tag (the face of the bat).

Step 3: Take a clear plastic bag (a cellophane bag or snack-size baggie) and customize its size to match the size of the width of the tags. Fill the clear plastic bag with candies, and close its open end by folding it twice.

Step 4: Use a stapler to attach the tag and the folded part of the treat bag together.

Step 5: Staple the sides of the bag with the tag. And, your Halloween treat bag toppers are done!
