If you’re like most people, you’ve been frustrated by the cost of your health care at one time or another. It seems that even if you have “good” health insurance, the cost of prescriptions keeps going up year after year. That’s definitely been the case for our family. Prescription drugs take a big bite out of our budget, especially since all of us take at least one daily medication.
SingleCare can save you money if you don’t have insurance–and even if you do. Sometimes insurance doesn’t cover a certain drug, or you can’t afford your medication due to a high deductible or co-pay. This is where SingleCare can help.
How Does SingleCare Work?
SingleCare is a free discount prescription card and mobile app that makes it easy to comparison shop for your prescriptions. Here’s how to use SingleCare. It works on a desktop/laptop or on your smartphone:
- Enter the name and dosage of your prescription
- Select the deal you want, and click the “Get free coupon”
- Text, email, or print, the coupon to use at your pharmacy
- When you bring your coupon to the pharmacist, you’ll pay the SingleCare price
SingleCare can be used whether you have health insurance or not. Very often the SingleCare price is LESS than the insurance cost, so always check!
How much can you save with SingleCare?
You can save up to 80%! The actual amount you will save varies depending on which pharmacy you choose and which medication you buy. Use the prescription price lookup feature to see what your medicine will cost at different pharmacies in your area.
Which Pharmacies Participate With SingleCare?
SingleCare partners with more than 35,000 pharmacies nationwide including:
- Giant Eagle
- Duane Reade
- Harris Teeter
- Longs Drugs
- Food Lion
FAQs about SingleCare:
Do I have to join something to use SingleCare?
SingleCare doesn’t require you to sign up anything to use its services. To get your savings, just print or show the pharmacist your SingleCare deal on your phone, card, or printed coupon.
Is the SingleCare Free Discount Prescription Card or App the Same as Insurance?
SingleCare is not insurance. You don’t have to worry about:
- Fees or premiums
- Claim forms
- Meeting eligibility requirements
Can SingleCare be Used With Insurance?
SingleCare cannot be combined with insurance. You must choose one or the other at the pharmacy checkout counter–whichever gives you the best price. Often, that’s SingleCare.
Is SingleCare Only Good for Generic Drugs?
You can use SingleCare to comparison shop for either brand name or generic drugs. However, you’ll notice that the search tool defaults to show the generic drug. Use the drop-down list to select the brand name.
Does SingleCare Keep my Private Information?
You don’t have to disclose your email, phone number, social media account information, or any other personal information to use SingleCare’s free discount prescription card and mobile app.
SingleCare says it is “prohibited by law from selling any personal information including name, address, or prescription information.”
