If you’re like most people, you’ve been frustrated by the cost of your health care at one time or another. It seems that even if you have “good” health insurance, the cost of prescriptions keeps going up year after year. That’s definitely been the case for our family. Prescription drugs take a big bite out of our budget, especially since all of us take at least one daily medication.
That’s why I started using SingleCare, a free discount prescription card and mobile app that helps you find the lowest price on prescriptions at your local pharmacies.
SingleCare can save you money if you don’t have insurance–and even if you do. Sometimes insurance doesn’t cover a certain drug, or you can’t afford your medication due to a high deductible or co-pay. This is where SingleCare can help.
How Does SingleCare Work?
SingleCare is a free discount prescription card and mobile app that makes it easy to comparison shop for your prescriptions. Hereโs how to use SingleCare. It works on a desktop/laptop or on your smartphone:
- Enter the name and dosage of your prescription
- Select the deal you want, and click the “Get free coupon”
- Text, email, or print, the coupon to use at your pharmacy
- When you bring your coupon to the pharmacist, you’ll pay the SingleCare price
SingleCare can be used whether you have health insurance or not. Very often the SingleCare price is LESS than the insurance cost, so always check!
Download the free SingleCare app for Android or iOS to get started.

You can use SingleCare to comparison shop for either brand name or generic drugs. However, you’ll notice that the search tool defaults to show the generic drug. Use the drop-down list to select the brand name.
