Now, place the star cookie cutter at the top left corner, and fill it with black olive slices.

Finally, slice the cherry tomatoes in half, and use them to create the “stripes” in your flag.

And, that’s all there is to it! Now just serve this tasty and festive dip at your next get-together, and wait for the compliments to roll in.

Recipe Notes & Serving Suggestions

You can use refried black beans or refried pinto beans–whatever your crowd prefers.

Want to add a layer of guacamole or cooked ground beef? Feel free to add additional layers to your dip. Just be sure to use the white cheddar as the top layer.

Serve with tortilla chips, Fritos, or veggies (like baby carrots, bell peppers, or celery sticks).

You can make this dip in advance, and refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve.

Storing Leftover Bean Dip

It’s best not to freeze this dip. The texture of the dip won’t hold up to freezing and thawing.

Store leftover bean dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Eat within three or four days.
