Living the RV life is so easily accessible, anyone can do it, and enjoy it! Here we’ll explore some incredible reasons to travel by RV this summer.
Are you looking to experience a vacation like no other? If you decide to travel by RV and hit the open road with your family in tow, you’re sure to have an adventure you won’t forget.
The truth is there’s only so much you can experience when you’re tucked away in a hotel on the outskirts of a busy city, sharing limited pool space with strangers, racing for a lounge chair every morning, and trying to find the right balance between kids clubs and spending quality time together. It’s not the most relaxing way to spend your hard-earned vacation!
5 Reasons to Travel by RV
You can unplug, and enjoy the outdoors
Most of us (including our kids) could use some time away from technologyโtime to really unplug and reconnect with nature. With an RV, you can enjoy everything you love about the great outdoors with all the comforts of home still close by. For me, that’s a win-win!
You’re in control of your schedule
When on a traditional vacation, it’s easy to get bogged down with schedules, opening and closing times, and trying to beat the daily rush to the buffet or poolside.
The beauty of travelling via RV is, you can set your own schedule, and you’re fully in control of that precious time away. That means you get to make the most of the family time you’ve been looking forward to.
You can also change things up on a whim, and spend more time at a favorite location (or spend less time somewhere you’re not crazy about).
The bottom line is that you’re in charge, and you don’t have to follow to anyone else’s itinerary.
It’s budget-friendly
If you’re someone who’s living on a budget (and who isn’t?), then even the idea of saving for a vacation can feel a little daunting. The prospect of purchasing all your meals, activities, and all that additional spending money can quickly blow a hole in your carefully managed finances. But, with an RV, you get the financial flexibility you need. You can pay for and cook all your own meals within the budget you can afford, and campgrounds are much cheaper than hotel room stays.
All of those savings mean more of your vacation budget can go toward the experiences you want to pay forโwithout having to worry about your credit card bill when you get home.
Pets can come too
One of the downsides of going away on vacation is that your four-legged friend has to stay behind, to either be looked after by a neighbor or by a stranger in a boarding kennel.
You probably don’t want to be separated, and the cost of boarding can be high. But when you travel by RV, you can bring your pets along for the ride, knowing they’ll be comfortable. They’ll probably enjoy the break as much as you do!
All of the options when it comes to RVs
Whether you want the bare minimum in terms of comfort and convenience, or you want to travel in absolute style and luxury, there’s an RV for you. With so many styles and price ranges to choose from, you’ll be spoiled for choice, whether you just need something that will hold you and all your adventure gear or want to splurge on something that puts your brick and mortar home to shame!
But remember, just like owning a home or a car, there are responsibilities that come with owning an RV. For starters, you’ll need to learn how to drive something that is very different than your car, you’ll need to consider the maintenance and upkeep an RV requires, and you’ll have to think about RV insurance. But, ask most RV owners, and they’ll tell you, RV vacations are incredible!
