Here’s another diy beauty recipe for you. This time, I’m bringing you a gentle honey oat bath soak recipe that includes fragrant sweet orange essential oils. You can also add dried orange slices for more of that wonderful natural orange scent.
Oatmeal is known for soothing irritated skin, and you’ll especially want to use it in the winter months, when the dry air means everyone’s skin needs extra moisture.
This is the perfect way to enjoy a spa-like experience at home, and this orange honey oat bath soak would make a thoughtful (and frugal) gift too!

Orange Honey Oat Bath Soak Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup whole oats
1-2 tablespoons honey
2-4 drops sweet orange essential oils
Optional, dried orange slices (see tip below)
Optional, a muslin or fine mesh bag — I like to use these to help keep the oats out of the drain after the bath. You may also choose to sprinkle them across the top of the bath, and then simply wipe them out after. ย
Directions:
In a bag or plastic bathroom-safe dish, combine the oats, honey, and essential oil together. ย You may use this bath soak right away, or cover and allow the oil to infuse its sweet citrus scent into the oats. This should hold up well and last for a few months if stored in a cool, dry, dark place. ย
Tip: ย I made the dried orange slices by thinly slicing a small orange, then placing the slices on a paper towel to absorb the juice. Next, place on an oven safe rack and put into the oven heated to 200 degrees for about two hours. ย The thinner the slices, the less time it will take. These have held up perfectly and are lovely in the bath!
