This American flag toast is easy to make and fun to eat! It’s a terrific breakfast or snack idea that kids can help make (or even make themselves).ย
We all know it’s easier to get picky kids to eat their fruits and veggies when we can make food fun!
Kids can celebrate the Fourth of July, the Olympics or any of the patriotic holidays (listed below) with this American flag fruit toast. Or, maybe your kids are into all-American superheroes, like Captain America.ย

American Flag Toast
With almost no prep time, you can have this snack ready to eat in minutes! It’s super simple to put together, so depending on their ages, have the kids help! They’ll love this American flag toast recipe, and moms love it since it gets kids to eat their fruit.

American Flag Toast
Ingredients
- bread toasted
- banana slices cut in half to create half-circles
- blueberries
- strawberry or raspberry jam or jelly
- whipped cream cheese
Instructions
- Spread the cream cheese in a square area at the top left corner of each slice of toast. (See photos.)
- Spread strawberry or raspberry jam on the rest of the toast.
- Arrange the banana half-circles on the strawberry/raspberry jam to look like stripes.
- Arrange the blueberries (we used 9) in the top left corner to create the flagโs โstars.โ
- Enjoy!
