We know that LED bulbs save money over time, but they can be expensive initially.
My electric company, Duke Energy, offers free LED bulbs to its customers. You just need to request them here. I was very surprised when I received mine to see how many they sent.
Since I’ve now received my limit of free bulbs, I can’t receive more, but I can shop for bulbs on their site at heavily discounted prices–the lowest priced bulbs start at just 99¢! (The prices beat what I’ve seen in the hardware stores by far.)
Many gas and electric companies have programs that offer free energy conservation kits and light bulbs. Check online or make a phone call to find out if yours is one of them.
