Here’s a terrific spring and summer activity your kids will love! These butterfly raising kits are so much fun–and educational. Your kids will be fascinated as they watch caterpillars turn into Painted Lady butterflies, feed them, and then release them.
I can’t recommend this butterfly hatching kit highly enough. My kids learned a lot and enjoyed it so much! They swore “our” butterflies came back to visit us all summer.
This would also be a unique gift or a great contribution to your child’s classroom too.
By the way, if you’ve ordered this in the past, and you still have the butterfly habitat, just order a refill. Here’s the link to the butterfly refill kit.
Check out this little snippet of one of the butterflies being released. The cell phone video is a little fuzzy, but you can see how much the kids love it!

My daughter had one of these a couple of Summers ago! They really are the coolest gift you can give a child, especially one that loves butterflies! She really enjoyed watching them turn into butterflies, I admit I was pretty amazed too. Letting them go was very cool too!
