It’s easier for many of us keep up with our work and our household chores when we have a checklist of the things we need to do.

A basic cleaning checklist helps you hold yourself accountable, not to mention that sweet feeling of accomplishment when you complete a task.ย

Pick up our free cleaning checklist below, and see if helps you!

Basic Cleaning Checklist

Are you always playing catch-up when it comes to housecleaning? Do you spend every weekend on chores instead of relaxing or enjoying your days off after a long work week? If this sounds familiar, you might want to follow a cleaning schedule.ย

Why Make aย Cleaning Schedule?

  • No More Rushed Cleaning โ€“ Your house will always be (at least) reasonably clean when you stick to your cleaning schedule. That means you don’t have to frantically clean up when guests are coming.
  • A Cleaning Schedule is More Efficient โ€“ Without a plan or a schedule for getting things done, your cleaning routine can get a bit haphazard. A schedule saves you time (you’re not always wondering when the last time was something was cleaned), and it helps you make sure every room is always clean.
  • Helps Stop Procrastination โ€“ It’s easy to put off housecleaning, but having a written cleaning schedule can keep you on track. It serves as a motivator, and there’s a little bit of satisfaction in checking the day’s cleaning duties off your list.
  • Less Stress โ€“ When there’s housework you know you should be doing, you might find it hard to relax. When you have a schedule, and you’ve done what’s needed for the day, you can relax! A less-cluttered home is also a more relaxing place to live.

Tip: If and when you fall behind on your schedule, don’t worry. Shift some of the housework over to the the next day, or simply wait until the next week when chore comes up again.

If you think a checklist would help you stay on track, feel free to print our basic cleaning checklist.

We’ve filled in some of the tasks that most of us need to do and left some room so you can customize it to suit your needs.

Thank you so much for the free printable. You are so right, it is so stressful having so many things to clean around the house. I tend to worry about them all al once. Using your schedule, it will be easy to get a routine so I can spend my extra time relaxing or working on other projects.
