Wet’N Wild Emerald Pointe: See What’s New, Get Your Discount, & Go Have Fun!

Our family recently enjoyed a fun-filled day at Wet’n Wild with some relaxation thrown in for mom and dad. (Keep reading to learn more about this incredible water park and see how you can save up to $9 per ticket.)

Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe is our favorite water park, and our recent visit was even better than the last. We got to enjoy a private cabana for the day, and I didn’t think our experience from last year could get better, but the cabanas have been upgraded! There are new (and very comfortable) lounge chairs, a refrigerator in the cabana filled with a variety of cool drinks, new outdoor dining tables and chairs. 

I always recommend renting a cabana to make the most of your day at Wet’n Wild. Here’s why:

• Cabanas come with a storage locker. This solves the problem of someone (usually mom) having to stay behind to watch everyone’s belongings while the rest of the group goes off to have fun.
• Cabanas also come with wait service. You can relax and have your food and drinks come to you. We ordered lunch again this year, and by the way, the food at Wet’n Wild is delicious. They bring it to you in insulated containers so it stays hot.
• Your own private cabana means you’re assured of having your own lounge chairs (and table and chairs) all day even if the park gets busy. Plus, we had our own private space to hang out. Our cabana became our “home base,” and we knew no one else could take over our chairs or “space” while we were out in other parts of the water park.
• A private cabana would be great for a birthday party or just to get together with friends too!

Every cabana comes with a safe, so you can feel free to enjoy the park without worrying about your belongings. You can also enjoy cold beverages anytime. You can have food delivered to your cabana too, since wait service is included.

This is where I spent a lot of my time at Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe while the kids ran around the park.

I’m always impressed by the sheer size of the park and number of things to do. There’s something for everyone from the little ones to teens to adults at Wet’n Wild. We’re talking about over 40 acres of fun. There are more than 36 rides and attractions, and Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe has been voted one of the Top 10 Waterparks in America! As our kids have gotten older, we let them go off on their own. We have them check in at the cabana periodically and for lunch. And since there’s an announcement of the time every hour this works out perfectly. 

Speaking of safety, I am always struck by the number of lifeguards at the park and how attentive they are. It makes me feel better about visiting and having my kids in the water. There are life jackets everywhere, and they are free for everyone to use. Safety is definitely a top priority at Wet’n Wild.

The family-friendly environment includes so much for even the youngest children–play areas like Happy Harbor and others, and for the big kids — high-speed water slides like Riptide Racer, plus relaxing environments like the Lazee River.

Some of my kids favorites are–

Riptide Racer: Unleash your adrenaline with some head to head competition! Riptide Racer pits up to four riders in a side by side, plunging race to a twisting, screaming finale.

Dr. Von Dark: You’ll experience a breathtaking 40-ft. drop. Soar to dizzying heights on back-to-back vertical banks. Complete a pair of hi-speed 360° spins. And do it all against a backdrop of total darkness and visual effects!

Thunder Bay: Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe’s Centerpiece attraction, our gigantic two million gallon wave pool creates 84 foot wide tsunami waves to ride on, splash in, or just watch from the sand free beaches.
