I enter a few of the giveaways I see online, and amazingly, I won one of them! I was lucky enough to win a two-day stay at the Ocean Isle Inn. The Ocean Isle area has some of the most beautiful beaches in my state of North Carolina. My family was so excited to take our little vacation to Ocean Isle!
We were right on the beach, and while the weather wasn’t totally cooperative, we were able to get in the water one of our two days. We also enjoyed just sitting on the beach and taking walks on the shore and collecting shells with the kids. There’s also an outdoor and indoor pool, which is ideal if you do wind up with a rainy day.
Did I mention our room had a balcony overlooking the ocean? Each morning, the first thing I did was open the door so I could hear the ocean waves. Our room’s large window overlooked the beach too. It was nice just to have that view and hear the ocean even while we were in the room.
Ocean Isle Inn is in a fun location too. We found little shops and places to eat very close by, and when we drove a little further, there was even more to do. Ocean Isle is between Wilmington, North Carolina and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, so you can find all kinds of activities if you’d like. Or, if you’d prefer to have a more relaxed vacation, this is a great spot to enjoy the beach — without the crowds of the more touristy spots. If you’re ever on the North Carolina coast, look up the Ocean Isle Inn.
Here are a few photos from our trip. You can see we had a lot of overcast weather, but you still can’t beat a day at the beach!
