Parents, did you know Home Depot offers monthly hands-on project workshops for kids, and they’re completely FREE?
Home Depot kids workshops are for kids ages 5 to 12, and are held on the first Saturday of each month from 9 am to noon.
What to Expect
Workshops typically last one to two hours, and parental supervision is required. All materials are provided, and your child will receive a FREE Kids Workshop apron to keep. As they complete more workshops, kids can collect achievement pins to display on their apron—a fun way to show off their growing skills!
What Kids Will Build
Projects vary by month and include toolboxes, planters, race cars, holiday decorations, and other hands-on building activities. Kids learn practical skills like measuring, hammering, and following instructions while building confidence and creating something they can be proud of.
How to Participate
Registration is required, so sign up now through Home Depot’s website to take advantage of this fun opportunity for your kids to learn some do-it-yourself skills. Use their store locator to find workshops near you.
What to wear: Dress kids in comfortable, workshop-appropriate clothing.
Why It’s Worth It
These hands-on, screen-free workshops offer a refreshing alternative to digital entertainment. They’re a great way for kids to bond with parents, develop practical skills, and gain confidence—all without spending a dime.
