If you know anything about vacuum cleaners, you’re familiar with the Dyson brand. If you don’t already own one, you probably wish you did. Dyson vacuum cleaners are known for their outstanding quality, maneuverability, and they were the first vacuum cleaners to get rid of the bag!
Dyson continues to bring the best in vacuum technology with the introduction of Cinetic Science technology. The new line of Dyson upright vacuums with this technology will be the first vacuum cleaners to never lose suction and require no filter maintenance. With another “first,” Dyson is redefining best-in-class in floorcare. I was thrilled to try the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy
New Cinetic cyclones are smallest yet, so they can spin out the finest dust and dirt. They oscillate to dislodge any particles that would typically get stuck in a cyclone that small.
- Cinetic cyclones allow for dust capture so small, that a filter becomes unnecessary. Thus, there are no dirty filters to wash, maintain or replace.
- Tested and proven with 10 years’ worth of dust. (Others claim “no loss of suction” by only testing one bin full of dust. Dyson used the equivalent of 10 years’ worth, and Dyson Cinetic never lost suction.)
- Cleaner head self-adjusts to seal in suction across carpets and hard floors.

So, what did I think about this vacuum cleaner? If you’re like me, you’ve purchased several vacuum cleaners over the years. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy is not like the $100 vacuum cleaners I’ve purchased on sale. It has very powerful suction. It is way beyond any vacuum cleaner I’ve ever owned. I feel like I’m picking up the dirt and dust in my carpet and under my carpet with this Dyson vacuum cleaner. (And if you’ve ever removed old carpeting, you know there’s dirt under it.) It even lifted the fibers of the worn carpet that I want to replace and made it look better!
The fact that it cleans so well is most important, but here’s what else I like:
- The vacuum’s hose is long enough to reach my ceiling fan and the tops of my windows.
- The cord on this vacuum is long, so you don’t need to keep switching outlets as you clean your house.
- There are lots of attachments, so I can’t imagine anywhere you won’t be able to clean with your Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy.
- There’s a carrying bag to hold all of your vacuum’s attachments.

Of course, as I mentioned, there’s no filter to clean–ever! The vacuum captures fine dust and dirt particles, yet doesn’t need a filter. For those of you with allergy sufferers in your home, that is a big plus. And, with pets in our house, we are picking up lots of dog and cat hair with the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy.
Now, you know I’m frugal, but when you compare buying a $100 vacuum cleaner every couple of years or may-be even every year vs. buying a Dyson (tested to never lose suction even with 10 years worth of dust), it’s no contest. I’m going with the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy.
