When I’m sick, or worse yet my baby is, the last thing I want to do is pack up the baby gear, drive across town, and sit in a clinic waiting room for half an hour, then wait again in the exam room to see our doctor. It’s no fun. I think doctors should really make house calls again! Well, with Doctor on Demand, they do–via your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. It’s simple.
I tried out the app recently to talk to a doctor about my baby’s allergy and some odd symptoms she’d been having. Signing in was easy, and I was talking to a doctor within minutes. (Even better, I was in my PJs, and I didn’t have to bundle up a baby to go out in the cold.)
You’ll have peace of mind using the app, as I did, because Doctor on Demand‘s physicians are board-certified, and basically provide a regular clinic visit, but from the comfort of your own home. Doctors can diagnose and treat you, just like your regular doctor.
I think this app is perfect for this time of year; cold and flu season. I’m typically extra careful about keeping my baby away from potentially sick people. And likewise, if someone in my family has the flu, I make sure they stay home as much as possible to help them get well, and also not spread the flu. Doctor on Demand makes getting an at-home doctor visit and getting better (at home) a breeze! You have the option to see a doctor right away, or you can schedule an appointment for that same day.

My experience with Doctor on Demand was so great! My son had just been to his doctor and was miserable with the flu. My husband was working overtime. And, there I was, miserable and barely able to breathe. I was able to let my son rest and not worry about a sitter while I visited with a doctor from the comfort of my home. He even prescribed some medication and my husband picked it up on the way home. It was so much more relaxed and convenient!
