Barbeque Sliders with Memphis-Style Coleslaw

I’m excited to share this Barbeque Sliders with Memphis-Style Coleslaw recipe with you, because I know you’re going to love it! These little sliders are perfect for parties, potlucks, or any kind of get-together. They’re definitely hearty enough to serve as a mini meal too. Once you make them, your family will ask for them again and again.

What I think makes these sliders so good is the coleslaw on top–such a tasty flavor combination. Since moving to the South many years ago, I’ve come to love coleslaw on everything!

Note: Make these vegetarian by substituting Beyond Meat, Impossible Burger “meat,” or Boca Crumbles for the ground beef.

Barbeque Sliders with Memphis-Style Coleslaw
These barbeque sliders start with canned biscuits–easy-peasy! Then you fill them with your barbeque ground beef, and bake.

The Memphis-style coleslaw is simple to make too, since we’re starting with a bagged coleslaw mix.

When the barbeque cups are finished baking, just top with coleslaw for a delicious appetizer. This is really the perfect party food or game day snack!

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Brown ground beef, and drain excess oil.
  • Place beef in a mixing bowl, and add the barbecue sauce, stirring to combine.
  • Press biscuit dough into the bottom of muffin tin, and fill with approximately two tablespoons of barbecue meat mixture.
  • Place in preheated oven, and bake for 7-10 minutes or until biscuits are browned.
  • Meanwhile, combine all coleslaw sauce ingredients (except bag of coleslaw mix) in a large mixing bowl, and stir to combine.
  • Then add the bag of coleslaw mix, and toss to evenly coat with sauce. Place in refrigerator to cool.
  • Once barbecue biscuits have finished baking, let cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • Top with coleslaw, or serve coleslaw on the side.

Notes

If topping with slaw, you will only use about half of the slaw, so you may want to halve the recipe. If serving slaw on the side, make the recipe as directed.
