Let’s face it: no matter how well you know the man in your life they are at the very least, difficult, to buy Valentine’s Day gifts for. They have vague interests, complicated rituals for ordinary objects, and they will never retire that pair of grungy sweats that you’ve tried to “replace” for the last three years. Instead of pulling your hair out at the last minute, check out this list of Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him. There is sure to be something on the list that will suit even the most difficult to buy for man in your life!
Subscription Boxes
Many of us women love our subscription boxes, and there are a ton of great new subscription box options for men now. Everything from clothing, accessories, toys, all the way up to alcohol and fitness items! This is an especially cool idea if your man is always a little nosy about your subscription boxes. He can have one of his own, and if there’s not something that appeals to him this month, there may be something he loves next month!
Here are some suggestions: Hello Fresh or Blue Apron for guys who like to cook (fresh from-the-farm to you ingredients with easy-to-follow recipes delivered to your door), Birchbox for men (top-shelf grooming samples—from classic pomades to moisturizers—plus a full-size product like a gadget or stylish accessory), and BBQ Box or Butcher Box (for the griller or chef).

Thermos / Travel Mugs
Until the subject actually came up one Saturday morning, I never realized that my guy was avoiding taking coffee with him to work in the morning because all of our travel mugs are kind of feminine. Consider checking out some of the great looking (and sturdy) thermos and travel mug options for your man for Valentine’s Day this year. They make a great gift, and if you find one that matches his favorite team or player you’ll get double points!
An Experience
Maybe you have a sports or music enthusiast on your list. One great way to give a meaningful gift that they’ll actually enjoy is by taking them to an event. Plan a little trip or experience based on their favorite sport, team, band, etc. You can go along or give him free reign to take a buddy! No doubt he will be all smiles when he realizes that you took the time to plan something for him that is suited to one of his specific interests!
Try Ticketmaster or ScoreBig for tickets to events. Check Groupon for deals on local outings and activities.
Splurge Items
This is a great one for anyone who has one or two items that they never want to buy for themselves but really enjoy. Perhaps he likes a nice scotch or whiskey, some high-end cologne, etc. Pick him up something that he likes but that he wouldn’t typically splurge on for himself. You can even do this if you notice he is getting low on something he really likes. This way he won’t have to use it sparingly, he will have a new one ready to go thanks to his lovely and attentive partner!
Sweets
Girls are not the only ones who love sweets for Valentine’s Day! If you are worried about the packaging making him feel uncomfortable take the chocolates out and put them in something more suited to his tastes. You could use a cigar humidor, a decorated tin, or even a simple white box from the craft store! Sweets for your sweetie don’t have to be overly feminine or frilly. You can easily DIY a container that will be more suited to his interests.
