I’m a new mom, and when buying a new crib and bedding for my now six month old, I’ll admit, the only two aspects I thought about were safety and style. The crib is safe and oh-so cute and the sheet was a hip chevron print. The mattress protector was basically plastic and elastic. It wasn’t long before I realized the error of my ways. Plastic was never meant to be slept on, in my opinion. It’s hot! Ugh. My poor baby wakes up with a sweaty back even after the shortest nap. Which makes me wonder; is she waking up because she’s sweating? What is a mom to do?
Thank the heavens, or the sandman or someone at Bedgear for their crib bedding with Climate Control Fabric. Their bedding actually deflects heat and keeps air flowing to maintain ambient temperatures. It keeps my baby cool and comfortable, not hot and sticky. Of course, the mattress protector is waterproof, but it has this layer of fabric on top with, what seem like, vents. You can actually feel the difference immediately when you touch it. The heat from your hand dissipates, it doesn’t reflect back to you. That’s the heat-eliminating technology. The fitted crib sheet works in to the equation too, wicking away heat and improving air flow.
Above is my baby’s crib. You can see the signature Bedgear Power Band, keeping both the crib mattress protector and crib sheet in their place.
The cooling crib sheets come in six basic colors to match any nursery. And, when my baby grows up, Bedgear has pillows designed just for kids and all sizes of sheets, blankets and mattress toppers for the whole family. We all know that sleep is important, and that we need good, restorative sleep to be at our best each day. Bedgear understands that and has a full line of bedding with the technology to prove it.
