Make sure the kids stay active with the Kids Skate Free program. The first step in signing up is to see if there is a participating location near you.
Every location has its own guidelines for who’s considered a “kid.” In my area, for example, some skate centers call children 10 and under kids, and some say it’s 11 and under. In other parts of the country, it’s 14 and under. There are also different days and times when skating is free, so check your nearest location and find their guidelines here.
I found there are actually a lot of free skate times in my area–both Saturday and Sunday afternoons and three nights a week at one center, for example.
Head here to see if there is a center near you participating in the Kids Skate Free program.
