Who doesn’t love a relaxing soak in a warm bathtub? After a long day, there’s nothing better–well, actually there is something that can make it better, and that’s this relaxing lavender bath soak. It’s easy to make, and if you’re looking for a thoughtful gift idea, look no further. Enjoy!
Relaxing Lavender Bath Soak
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Epsom salt
- 2 tablespoons magnesium flakes
- 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds
- optional, a few drops of lavender essential oil
Directions:
Mix the epsom salt, magnesium flakes, and lavender together in a glass jar. You may store it this way until youโre ready to use it, or you can tie some up in little satchels.
Directions for the mini satchels:
To make the mini satchels, youโll need the following:
- 6-inch square pieces of thin cloth. I used a soft dotted lace.
- 4-inch long cord or ribbon.
Place two or three tablespoons of the bath soak into the center of the fabric, and then pull up all of the sides around the salt. Pinch tightly and tie off with the cord or ribbon. Store in a sealed container or ziplock bag until ready to use. Wasn’t that simple?
When you’re ready to use your relaxing lavender bath soak, place one or two of these soothing lovelies into a warm bath, and soak for at least twenty minutes.
Tip: If you or a friend grow lavender plants, trim some while they are in season, tie off with a cord and let dry.
I did this for the first time last summer and have been so happy with the decision! They have kept perfectly the last few months and show no signs of that changing. The color is perfect, and scent is pure and soothing.
