Disclosure: I received a copy of the book Pony Express for review. All opinions are my own.
I’m happy to share a new children’s book with you today. It was written by award-winning author, Carla Crane Osborne. Her first book, Under the Barnyard Light, takes you into the magical world of a young girl on a farm full of small wonders.
Her latest book, Pony Express, continues the journey as the first installment of a new series entitled Go Gona Go.
Gona knows there’s so much more to life on the farm than chores–it’a magical world where she can become anything she wants, even a Pony Express rider racing across the dangerous plains of the Wild West to deliver the mail. This is, if she can get her brother Scott to play along.
The authoer, Carla Crane Osborne, grew up on her family’s farm in rural southern Idaho, where she spent countless hours helping tend cattle and sheep, riding horses, and having grand adventures exploring the landscape. Every day she was excited to learn and work on the farm, which has been in her family for four generations. Carla’s books bring to life a snapshot of the past so that children today can experience a sliver of the magic she knew growing up on a farm with all of its wonders.
