Every year when the holidays roll around we have some traditions in our house. We take a family picture, including any pets who are willing to sit still, and use it for the family Christmas card. We decorate the tree, carefully placing any dangerous or breakable ornaments out of paw’s reach. We even sandbag the bottom of the tree so that, even with a running start, our pets cannot knock it over! And finally, we get out the Christmas stockings; large size for the humans, small size for the pets.On Christmas morning we all get to see what’s in our stockings, and I’m pretty sure our dog is the most excited one in the room. Our guys know something is up, and they can’t wait to see what’s going on. Finley and Mace each usually get a toy, squeaky or feathered, and a can or two of food. Canned food is a big treat around here, and this year I bought them BLUE Buffalo™ . They already love BLUE’s Life Protection Formula dry food that I get at PetSmart. It’s made with real meat as the first ingredient. And, BLUE’s canned food is no different. There are no fillers, like corn or wheat, no additives, and no by-products. It’s just real food like chicken, fish, or lamb, and fruits and veggies. The can of BLUE I picked out for our dog is the “Santa Stew Holiday Feast”. It’s grain free and is made with turkey, green beans, and sweet potatoes. Our cat is getting BLUE’s Wilderness canned cat food with chicken and trout. Santa might even decide to put a bag of BLUE’s “Santa Snacks” in Finley’s stocking. They are both in for a real treat this year! But not yet. No amount of rolling around and looking cute will get them what’s in those stockings! They’ll have to wait until Christmas morning like the rest of us.I definitely recommend keeping up with BLUE on social media, too. Find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. They are always running contests and introducing new and limited-time products like “Savory Sizzlers” and “Touchdown Treats”.
