I was introduced to Food Lion when I moved to the South several years ago. I love the value, selection, and Food Lion’s My Essentials brand. Now a have a new reason to love Food Lion, their new website.
If you’re like me, you want to save time and money when you shop for groceries, and Food Lion’s new site helps you do just that. It’s an easy-to-navigate one-stop shop that helps you…
- plan your meals
- create your grocery list
- get your coupons quickly and easily (both paper and those you load to your Food Lion MVP card)
- and print your grocery list before heading to the store.
The Food Lion Coupon Hub is definitely my favorite part of the new website. To say it’s an easy way to save is an understatement. Once you’ve registered (or signed in) with your Food Lion account, you simply click the coupons you want to load onto your MVP savings cards. Those savings will come off automatically when you purchase the product. There’s nothing else you need to do and no coupons to print. Now that is EASY!
Another way to stretch your grocery budget is to combine sales and coupons, so be sure to check out Food Lion’s weekly sales flyer here. When you can match a coupon to a sale item, you really maximize your savings.
And, of course, meal planning, rather than buying on impulse at the store or eating out, is a money-saver. Food Lion’s new site has hundreds of recipes you can browse to help plan a delicious menu for the day or the week. You will love how easy it is just to check a box to add a recipe’s ingredients to your shopping list (which you can then print or email to yourself). I also like that the recipes can be sorted by main ingredient, “recipes for two,” gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.
The new Food Lion website has everything covered when it comes to grocery shopping, saving, and convenience! I hope you’ll check it out. I’m anxious to hear what part of the site is your favorite!
